all of the areas of failure that you can justify for yourself are places where you don’t need Jesus. you lose when you win. all of the places that you don’t attempt to explain will be left wide open for others to assume the worst. you lose part of yourself that way, too.

it’s another look at considering who you’re dancing for. maybe you can get people to support you, but at what cost?

refuse the fig leaf and run around naked. you won’t fit in. you’ll make some people uncomfortable, but there are others who will see the shamelessness and envy your freedom. Jesus covers your shame with Himself.

your not exposed, He is.

I have been considering dropping my fig leaf since attending The Relevant Conference. Posts like these are the tiny nudges I need to help me do so.

Jesus is bigger than my shame.

Tracey: There is something to be said about having nothing to hide. Yes, there is a period of time where you lose people and life changes, but after all the mean things are said and after you've been dragged through the crap–what else is there? Nothing. When all that could be done to you has been done–and you live through it–you can really start your life, then.

Fig leaves are strangely heavy little things to carry.

"Jesus covers your shame with Himself.

you're not exposed, He is." This would make a beautiful painting.

God's grace looks good walking around in Serena!

    Keep voicing.
