My heart just dropped a little bit. I'm about to go into a meeting at work and confront a co-worker about the facade that has been up too long. I couldn't have read this at a more perfect time.

This was a great post. Thank you, Serena. I am going through something that has to do with religious masks, and this has helped me see things a bit more clearly. Praise God – he is so good and faithful.

A couple of years ago when I asked God to burn the Fake out of me, He did so using those whose masks are firmly glued to their own self-righteousness. I couldn't figure out why God would let me be so exposed to people who are so Not. But then I read 2 Cor 3 and saw that the veil is torn off to reflect HIS glory. He's not so interested in me being good as in me being His delight.
