My own history with the use of this phrase makes me very cautious about the intent of the one wanting to correct or convict someone of behavior they don’t agree with. I think it’s a good thing to want to go about this the right way and understanding what the truth is is crucial. Here is my take…

True enough; prefacing something nasty you want to tell someone with the phrase speaking the truth with love isn't the same thing as speaking the truth with love.
Love and grace ARE life changing. And we get the gift of being able to offer them to others.
a gift for sure. thank you for adding your words to mine.
Another way I've heard this is when someone says "Hear my heart in this…" Hearts can be very judgemental I must say…
I have an amazing amount of tolerance for someone who can't stomach another. I have zero tolerance for someone who thinks God can't stomach someone.
Proverbs 9:7-12 sums it up well.
April,
I don't see the scriptural connection unless you're saying that if someone doesn't like what you're saying it's because they're a 'wicked fool'.
Feel free to clarify.
The point of the video is: God is Love and Truth. So the only thing that you can speak is Love because that's the Truth.
God is the truth "God is Love".
Love is the truth.
What a Perfect explanation.
