"Especially when you consider that the act of trying to avoid sin is sin."

A very bold statement. So refreshing to see this written out. I'm a writer, but there are some things I just can't reduce to words, because it goes on and on and on, deeper and deeper into Him.

Thanks for using what He has given you this way!

"Self-awareness is evidence of sin."

Well stated. The first couple were what I call "other-conscious." They were aware of their spouse and God. After the Fall they became self-conscious. Now we are aware of our flaws, and go to great extremes to hide or deny them, which further complicates our self-awareness and sin.

The solution? Becoming other-conscious again - of Jesus and his freedom for us from this condemning nature of sin.

Good post.
