Well stated. The first couple were what I call "other-conscious." They were aware of their spouse and God. After the Fall they became self-conscious. Now we are aware of our flaws, and go to great extremes to hide or deny them, which further complicates our self-awareness and sin. The solution? Well stated. The first couple were what I call "other-conscious." They were aware of their spouse and God. After the Fall they became self-conscious. Now we are aware of our flaws, and go to great extremes to hide or deny them, which further complicates our self-awareness and sin.
